Trains to Cardiff

The Welsh capital has so much to offer visitors, with many attractions and sights within walking distance of Cardiff Central station. Wales is a country that loves sport and Cardiff is a genuine all-rounder. St Mary Street has a wide choice of bars, pubs and clubs all within walking distance of each other. For great cocktail and wine bars try Greyfriars Road or head to Cardiff Bay. If it’s people watching you’re after, Mill Lane – home to a number of bars, clubs and restaurants – is the perfect place. For a cultural night out, see what’s on at the Welsh National Opera or enjoy various other performances at the Wales Millennium Centre, from musicals to contemporary dance. If it’s live music you’re after, head over to Womanby Street, the beating heart of Cardiff’s thriving music scene and home to Clwb Ifor Bach, the iconic Welsh independent venue.

Cardiff is a shopaholic’s dream. You’ll find plenty of your favourite high street shops on Queen Street and the surrounding area – and in the St David’s Shopping Centre there are dozens more, all under one roof. If you're looking for a more unusual shopping experience, don’t miss the Victorian and Edwardian arcades where you'll find unique boutiques, gift shops and cafés.
