50% off Standard Class Advance Single fares offer

If you bought train tickets through either our Senior Railcard or 16-25 Railcard promotion, we will have been in contact to let you know about an error in the way our systems were set up. This meant some customers only received a 45% discount instead of the full amount.

Hopefully you will now have received your e-Voucher from us, that can be used when you next buy tickets through GWR.com.

e-Voucher terms and conditions

1. The e-Voucher is not a cheque guarantee, credit or charge card. Please treat the e-Voucher as cash. GWR cannot be held liable for any lost, stolen or destroyed e-Vouchers.

2. The e-Voucher cannot be exchanged for cash.

3. The e-Voucher is valid until 1 December 2018. After this date the e-Voucher will automatically expire. Any balance on your online account that comes from the full or partial redemption of an e-voucher must be used by this date.

4. You may either redeem the e-Voucher as a balance to your account, or redeem your e-Voucher in conjunction with a specific ticket purchase. Either way, you will be required to give the serial number of the e-Voucher, which will have been sent to you either by post or email. This e-Voucher can only be redeemed online at GWR.com and cannot be redeemed over the phone, at stations or on trains.

5. Funds from your e-voucher may only be redeemed until 1 December 2018. e-Vouchers cannot be used for the purchase of any goods or services on-board GWR trains or for the purchase of other e-Vouchers.

6. The e-Voucher may be used in conjunction with other e-Vouchers issued by GWR (e.g. compensation e-Vouchers) and can be used as full or part payment for rail tickets. If the cost of the booking exceeds the funds available on the e-Voucher, the balance must be paid at the time of the booking. If the cost of the booking is less than the funds available on the e-Voucher, the value of the difference will be credited as a balance to your on-line account until the expiration date of the e-Voucher. All balances remain subject to these terms and conditions.

7. If you are entitled to cancel a booking that has been paid for using the e-Voucher, any refund of an amount that was paid using an e-Voucher will be issued back to you as a credit to your online account. All rail purchases and refunds of tickets are subject to the National Conditions of Travel.

8. GWR reserves the right to refuse to accept any e-Voucher where it deems that an e-Voucher has been tampered with, duplicated or where it is otherwise suspected to be affected by fraud.

9. GWR reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time without notice and to take appropriate action, such as cancelling the e-Voucher if necessary (for example, where you have not complied with these terms and conditions).

10. Except as otherwise provided by applicable law, your contract with GWR and these Terms and Conditions shall be construed and enforced in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Disputes arising under these Terms and Conditions are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
