There is a good service across our network
Upgrade work is planned by Network Rail to further improve the reliability and performance of train services across the network.
This will include planned engineering work around the Bristol and Bath area.
Buses/coaches replace trains between Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton.
Some CrossCountry trains will be diverted between Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton, adding around 30 minutes to the usual journey time.
Buses/coaches replace trains between Bristol Temple Meads and Weston-super-Mare.
Shuttle trains will run between Weston-super-Mare and Taunton.
Buses/coaches replace trains between Bath Spa and Westbury/Frome as well as between Westbury and Chippenham (via Melksham).
Services from Cardiff Central to Portsmouth Harbour will terminate at Bath Spa and then restart from Westbury.
Trains between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads will be diverted and won’t call at Chippenham or Bath Spa.
Buses/coaches replace trains between Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads, Swindon and Westbury/Frome as well as between Chippenham and Westbury (via Melksham).
Early morning train services across the central area of our network will be affected by an important signalling upgrade to improve the performance of our trains.
Replacement buses/coaches are expected to operate on some routes until approximately 07:20.
Work will also be taking place to electrify the line through to Cardiff Central on various weekends and bank holidays until October.
