Upgrading the railway in the Cotswolds

Work will take place to support the continued introduction of our new trains, which provide more seats and faster journeys.

Network Rail plans to upgrade signalling around Cheltenham Spa and renew track around Worcester, plus a new bridge is being built as part of a road scheme.

In addition, work continues at the new Worcestershire Parkway station, including foundations, platforms and a footbridge.

And, in the autumn, longer platforms will be built at various stations between Oxford and Evesham for our new Intercity Express Trains.

Timetables may change, coaches will replace some trains, and journeys could take longer than normal.
