Upgrading the railway in the Cotswolds

Work will take place to support the continued introduction of our new trains, which provide more seats and faster journeys.

This autumn, longer platforms will be built at various stations between Oxford and Evesham in preparation for our new Intercity Express Trains.

Coaches will replace some trains, and some journeys could take longer than normal.

Check your journey before you travel.

Please note: for a temporary period, Network Rail is currently unable to confirm train timetables as far in advance as usual. However, we expect online journey planners to be updated sometime around September. For the latest information, please check your journey details immediately prior to travelling.

Further work by Network Rail is also planned during the Christmas and New Year period affecting Hanborough, Charlbury and Kingham stations.

More details of the impact on services will be provided as they become available.
