Our new Electrostar trains

Our new, longer electric trains now run from London Paddington to Maidenhead, with a further rollout to Reading and Didcot Parkway in early 2018.

And by autumn 2017, we will have increased capacity in the Thames Valley by over 40%*.

Extra comfort

Enjoy a better commute with air-conditioning, wider tables, reading lights, at-seat power sockets and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the train.

More accessible

All our Electrostars have at least two wheelchair spaces available, with access to a disabled toilet.

Plus, all our toilets are now easier to use, with baby-changing facilities included too.

Better storage space

Overhead racks are deeper and more luggage stacks at the ends of carriages, plus wall-mounted hooks to keep things safe.

Greener travel

Running on electric, our Electrostar trains keep emissions and noise pollution to an absolute minimum.

*9,934 more seats on trains leaving London Paddington compared to 5 September – 30 September 2016. Based on new ‘Electrostar’ Class 387 trains vs ‘Turbo’ Class 165/166 trains between London Paddington, Hayes & Harlington and Maidenhead. Drinks and snacks are not available on board, but can be bought at selected stations.
