Storm Chandra disruption and travel advice

Storm Chandra continues to affect services and customers are advised to check before they travel.

Tickets for travel on GWR services today will be valid Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 January, or you can claim a full refund.

If your journey has been affected, you can use your ticket on CrossCountry and South Western Railway services on reasonable alternative routes until the end of Thursday 29 January.

You can also use your ticket on Transport for Wales services on reasonable alternative routes until the end of Tuesday 27 January.

Flooding has blocked the line between Exeter St Davids and Taunton. Road replacement services will operate if possible.

Shuttle train services will operate between Penzance and Exeter, and Taunton and Bristol.

High-speed services between London Paddington and Taunton are being diverted via Bristol because of flooding in the Castle Cary area.

All services are also cancelled on the following routes:

  • Exeter St Davids - Okehampton
  • Exeter St Davids - Barnstaple
  • Par - Newquay
  • Liskeard - Looe
  • Salisbury - Romsey
  • Weymouth - Yeovil Pen Mill

Please check your journey before travelling today on all other lines.
