Due to trespassers on the railway between Gloucester and Swindon all lines towards Swindon are blocked.
Impact:
Train services running through these stations will be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or diverted via Bristol Parkway. Stonehouse, Stroud and Kemble will not be served. Disruption is expected until 12:30 01/07.

Option 1: Use the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner to check if a journey by rail is currently possible. If you are at a station please check the Live Departure Boards or speak to a member of our station team.

Option 2: Cross Country Trains are accepting GWR customers tickets at no extra cost to customers between Cheltenham Spa and Gloucester/Bristol Parkway and Transport for Wales are accepting GWR customers tickets at no extra cost to customers between Cheltenham Spa and Gloucester, to help you make your journey.

Option 3: Rail Replacement road transport provided by us have been requested, and this is now in operation, although taxi numbers are limited
Local Bus ticket acceptance is in place on the following routes in both directions, your GWR ticket will be accepted at no extra cost:
>Stagecoach route 51: Swindon (Bus Station), Cheltenham (Promenade)
>Stagecoach route 62: Gloucester (Bus Station), Stroud (Merrywalks), Stonehouse (Elgin Mall),
>Stagecoach route 63: Gloucester (Bus Station), Stroud (Merrywalks),
>Stagecoach route 64: Gloucester (Bus Station), Stonehouse (Elgin Mall), Stroud (Merrywalks),
>Stagecoach route 65: Gloucester (Bus Station), Stonehouse (Elgin Mall), Cam, Dursley, Stroud (Merrywalks) and >Stagecoach route 66: Cheltenham (Promenade), Stroud (Merrywalks)
We will continue to monitor the need for this as the situation develops and provide updates here.
