- 40% discount is only available online via the promotional link in the email from GWR and are for Standard and First Class Advance Single fares only (High Speed Services) one way. This offer cannot be redeemed over the phone, at stations or on trains.
- This offer is not transferable and can only be redeemed once with the pincode sent to your registered email address with GWR.
- 40% discount is available for purchase from 11 October until 23:59 18 October 2022 for travel from 12 October until 23:59 16 December 2022.
- Exclusion dates are:
- 24 October – 30 October 2022 – Promotional fares across the GWR network are excluded.
- 40% discount may only be redeemed against GWR First Class and Standard Class Advance Single tickets for use on GWR services only (routed ‘GREAT WESTN ONLY’).

- Some journeys will be bookable immediately after the promotion opens (certain dates are currently unavailable for bookings due to revisedtimetables being prepared by Network Rail). We recommend checking your journey times one week before you travel.
- Unless detailed in this promotion, normal Advance Single fares terms and conditions apply.
- Maximum of 9 persons per booking.
- Please note that bookings open approximately 12 weeks before the date of travel (certain weekend dates are currently unavailable for bookings due to revised timetables being prepared).
- These tickets will not be valid for travel on other train operator’s services, or on dates or times other than as shown on the ticket.
- Promotional fares must be bought a minimum of 1 day in advance of travel.
- The 40% discount may be used in conjunction with other offers issued by GWR (e.g. compensation e-Vouchers). It can be used in conjunction with national or local railcards.
- Child concessions of 40% applies for customers aged 5-15 inclusive. Up to two children aged under 5 can travel free with each fare paying passenger (seat reservations for children aged under 5 are not available).
- GWR Advance Single (one-way) fares are non-refundable, except where permitted under the terms of the National Rail Conditions of Travel.
- GWR reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time without notice and to take appropriate action, such as cancelling the 40% discount if necessary (for example, where you have not complied with these terms and conditions).
- Except as otherwise provided by applicable law, your contract with GWR and these Terms and Conditions shall be construed and enforced in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Disputes arising under these Terms and Conditions are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
