About the festival

Every era has its own heroes and Reading has always brilliantly reflected its own age. From the Stones to Stormzy, Reading has always given the people what they want (and they usually want it loud). Travel to Reading Festival on a GWR train and rock the rails! This year’s headliners include:

Which trains go direct to Reading Station?

You can catch a direct train to Reading from London Paddington (X minutes), Swindon (X minutes), Oxford (X minutes), Bath Spa (X minutes) and Bristol Temple Meads (X minutes). Direct services also depart from Cheltenham Spa (X minutes), Didcot Parkway (X minutes) and Newbury (X minutes)

How far is the festival site from Reading Station?

The festival site is a 15-20 minute walk from the train station. A shuttle bus service also runs frequently from the station and the town centre to the festival site. View all of Readings’ station facilities here.

When are the last trains from Reading Station?

Trains departing Reading Station do not run late on Friday and Saturday night. Check train times using our journey checker and make sure you leave at least an hour to get from the festival site to the station.
