Replacement transport is planned between those stations affected.

Replacement transport is planned between Reading and Guildford.
GWR will still operate trains between Guildford and Gatwick Airport.
SWR will still operate trains between Reading and London Waterloo via Wokingham.

Replacement transport is planned between Guildford and Gatwick Airport.
GWR will still operate trains between Reading and Guildford.
Other train services will still be operating for Gatwick Airport.
Track work will affect some train services to/from London Paddington.
Trains will run to an amended timetable because only two out of four tracks will be available.
Signalling and telecommunications work will impact train services between Newton Abbot and Paignton.
Valid rail tickets can be used to travel on the Stagecoach number 12 bus service between stations affected.
Track maintenance work will impact all train services via Basingstoke.
Replacement transport is planned between Reading and Basingstoke.
Track and structural renewals work will impact train services between Newport and Cardiff Central.
Monday 16 to Friday 20 March and Sunday 29 March
Trains will run to an amended timetable because only two out of four tracks will be available.
Weekend of 21/22 March
Replacement transport is planned between Newport and Cardiff Central.
Train services will still operate between London Paddington and Newport, plus between Cardiff Central and Swansea/Carmarthen.
GWR trains will also operate between Exeter St Davids/Taunton and Newport, plus between Portsmouth Harbour and Bristol Temple Meads.
Important to note
Train services also affected in the Bridgend area on Sunday 29 March.
Track renewals and track maintenance work will impact all train services via Crediton.
Replacement transport is planned between:
- Exeter St Davids and Okehampton or Barnstaple – not stopping at Yeoford
- Crediton and Yeoford

GWR trains will operate between Fareham and Cardiff Central.
Track renewals work will affect train services between Cardiff Central and Port Talbot Parkway.
Replacement transport is planned between:
- Cardiff Central and Swansea (non-stop)
- Cardiff Central and Port Talbot Parkway (stopping at all stations)
GWR trains will still operate between London Paddington and Cardiff Central, plus between Swansea and Carmarthen.
Transport for Wales train services will operate between Port Talbot Parkway and Swansea or Carmarthen.
April
Track renewals and signalling work will impact train services from 1800 on Good Friday.
Follow-up track work will also affect services in the area on the following two Sundays.
Replacement road transport is planned between:
- Westbury and Frome or Castle Cary
- Taunton and Castle Cary
- Swindon and Pewsey.
Trains between London Paddington and Plymouth or Penzance will use an alternative route between Reading and Taunton – some stopping additionally at Swindon.
Trains will also be operating between Reading and Bedwyn – no trains will stop at Pewsey.
Friday 3 to Sunday 5 April
GWR trains will operate between Weymouth and Castle Cary, plus between Bristol Temple Meads and Westbury after 1800 on Good Friday.
Sunday 12 April (until 1500)GWR trains will operate between Weymouth and Castle Cary until 1000, then between Weymouth and Frome until 1500.
Trains will operate between Bristol Temple Meads and Westbury with through services for Weymouth resuming after 1500.
Sunday 19 April
GWR trains will operate between Weymouth and Frome, plus between Bristol Temple Meads and Westbury all day.
Track upgrade work will affect some train services to/from London Paddington.
Trains will run to an amended timetable because only two out of four tracks will be available.
Track renewal work will impact all train services via Southampton Central.
Replacement road transport is planned between Southampton Central and Eastleigh.
GWR trains between Cardiff Central and Portsmouth Harbour will use an alternative route stopping at Eastleigh instead of Southampton Central.
This rail improvement work also affects SWR and Southern train services.
Track renewal work will impact some train services to/from Gloucester.
Replacement road transport is planned between:
- Gloucester and Bristol Parkway
- Gloucester and Stroud (Saturdays)
- Gloucester and Swindon (Sundays)
Trains will operate between London Paddington and Stroud on Saturdays only; trains for London Paddington will still be running from Swindon or Bristol Parkway on all dates.
Trains will still operate between Gloucester and Cheltenham Spa for Worcester and the North of England/Scotland, plus trains to/from South Wales.
CrossCountry will still be operating train services between Gloucester and Bristol Parkway for the South West by using an alternative route via Lydney.
Track renewal work will impact train services via Salisbury.
Replacement road transport is planned between Salisbury and Southampton Central on Saturday, then between Warminster and Southampton Central on Sunday.
GWR trains will run between Cardiff Central/Bristol Temple Meads and Salisbury (Sat) or Warminster (Sun), plus between Southampton Central and Portsmouth Harbour.
This rail improvement work also affects SWR train services.
Track maintenance work will impact train services for Gatwick Airport.
Most GWR trains will only operate between Reading and Redhill – other train services will be operating between Redhill and Gatwick Airport.
Track and structural renewals work will impact train services between Bath Spa and Chippenham or Westbury.
Additional engineering work will also impact trains between Swindon and Westbury on Sunday 26 April until 1130.
Replacement transport is planned between:
- Bath Spa and Chippenham, or Swindon
- Bath Spa, Bradford-on-Avon, Trowbridge and Westbury, or Frome
- Bath Spa, Freshford, Avoncliff and Bradford-on-Avon
- Swindon, Chippenham, Melksham, Trowbridge and Westbury (until 1130 Sunday)
Trains will run hourly between London Paddington and Bath Spa via Bristol Temple Meads, with some trains running between London Paddington and Chippenham on Saturday only.
GWR will operate trains between Cardiff Central and Bath Spa instead of Portsmouth Harbour, or between Gloucester and Bristol Temple Meads instead of Frome or Weymouth.
Separate train services will be operating between Westbury and Portsmouth Harbour, Frome or Weymouth.
Trains also run on Saturday between Westbury and Swindon plus on Sunday after 1130, along with some additional train services between Chippenham and Swindon.
Important to note
Rail replacement services will stop to pick-up or drop-off in Freshford village, not at the station, and in Westwood village instead of Avoncliff station.
Signage will be provided between the stations and the bus stops.
As an alternative, valid rail tickets can also be used to travel on First Bus services operating between Bath and Trowbridge or Frome.

Replacement road transport is planned between Warminster and Southampton Central, plus between Salisbury and Andover, Romsey or Gillingham.
GWR trains will run between Cardiff Central/Bristol Temple Meads and Warminster, plus between Southampton Central and Portsmouth Harbour.
This rail improvement work also affects SWR train services via Salisbury.
Overhead power supply upgrades and track renewal work will impact all train services via the Severn Tunnel.
Replacement road transport is planned between Bristol Parkway and Newport – both non-stop and stopping services.
In addition, valid rail tickets can also be used to travel on the m4 Metrobus services running between Bristol Parkway and Patchway.
Trains will run hourly between London Paddington and Swansea/Carmarthen by using an alternative route – stopping at Gloucester instead of Bristol Parkway.
Trains will also run between London Paddington and Bristol Parkway at peak periods only – customers should travel via Bristol Temple Meads instead at off-peak times.
GWR trains will operate between Bristol Parkway and Portsmouth Harbour on the weekend of 23/24 May, plus from Saturday 30 May to Monday 8 June.
These services will be operating between Bristol Parkway and Fareham instead from Monday 25 to Friday 29 May – see Portsmouth area entry below.
GWR trains will also operate between Bristol Temple Meads and Taunton/Exeter St Davids.
CrossCountry and Transport for Wales train services between Cheltenham Spa or Gloucester and Cardiff Central via Lydney will be unaffected.
Sunday 24 May
There will be no direct train services between London and South Wales.
Instead, GWR will operate trains between London Paddington and Bristol Parkway, plus between Newport and Swansea/Carmarthen.
Important to note
Some train services between Bristol Temple Meads and Severn Beach will run to an amended timetable due to freight trains for Avonmouth being diverted on this route.
Track upgrade work will affect some train services to/from London Paddington until 1600.
Trains will run to an amended timetable because only two out of four tracks will be available.
Bridge renewals work will impact all train services for Portsmouth Harbour.
Replacement transport is planned between Portsmouth Harbour and Fareham/Havant.
GWR trains will operate between Fareham and Cardiff Central.
