Customer lifts are provided at stations across the network served by Great Western Railway and maintained by Network Rail.
Sometimes these lifts need to be taken out of service for routine maintenance, upgrades and renewal work.
When this happens, staff will be on hand to assist customers with heavy luggage, bikes or prams to use the stairs instead.
Where customers are unable to use the stairs, an alternative solution will be found to ensure stations remain accessible for all.
This may involve customers being helped to use an alternative crossing between platforms, or they may be directed to another station with step-free access where alternative transport will be provided to complete the journey.
If you need assistance contact our Passenger Assistance team or speak with a member of the station staff.

Passenger assistance
Assistance will be available at the station for customers who need it. Booking in advance is always advised, but not essential.
If you can change trains at another station with step-free instead that is advisable.
