What to expect from the English Riviera Airshow
The English Riviera Airshow, held in Paignton, Devon, is a spectacular event. The weekend event features breathtaking air displays over the stunning natural amphitheatre of South Devon's beautiful bay.
The airshow will deliver an action-packed flying programme on both Saturday and Sunday, with a selection of cutting edge and beautiful vintage aircraft taking to the skies. Highlights over the weekend include The Red Arrows, The Blades, Vortex, Chinook, Yakolevs, Tigers and The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (Lancaster, Hurricane and Spitfire). For the full programme and timings, visit the airshow website or purchase a souvenir programme. The Event Village will feature air display team stands where visitors can meet the pilots, and local and national traders offering everything from artwork and books to toys and furniture, family activities, a fairground, food stalls and bars.
The English Riviera Airshow is potentially the most impressive in the UK, with the backdrop of some of Devon's best beaches and accessibility to world-class food and activities within walking distance. The Airshow attracts almost 200,000 people to The English Riviera.
Events are centred around Paignton Green, with free entertainment for all the family, including exhibition stands, bars, food stalls, display teams, inflatable slides, bouncy castles and fairground rides. English Riviera Airshow visitors can also indulge in a range of retail therapy, including gifts, toys and festival essentials. Of course, it’s up in the sky where the breath-taking aerial action takes place, with a packed two-day programme of stunts, displays and flypasts.
It’s always an honour to witness iconic aircraft of yesteryear and the 2023 English Riviera Airshow will welcome the greatest aviation icons of the 20th century.
All air displays are subject to change depending on weather conditions and operational commitments which could take the military displays elsewhere at short notice.
