Departures and arrivals
Every year, thousands of visitors from around the world attend the Henley Royal Regatta. They spend the day cheering on Olympic and international-standard rowing teams as they compete for trophies.
But the event isn’t just about racing. The regatta enclosure, located on the banks of the Thames, provides food and refreshments – including plenty of chilled Champagne. You can also sign up for exclusive food and hospitality packages to be enjoyed on the tranquil banks of Fawley Meadows or the seclusion of Temple Island.
Stretch your legs between races with a wander around the picturesque market town of Henley-on-Thames, but don’t forget to return in time for the prize-giving ceremony at the end of the day.
The event often sells out in advance, so buy your admission badges here.
There are many places to visit in and around the London Thames Valley near to Henley on Thames including Oxford, Windsor Castle and Marlow. To find out more about what else you can do in the area, visit our Thames Valley destination guide.
