The iconic Open Top Bus Tour gives you the best sights and historical insight into Oxford, See Oxford’s dreaming spires and iconic historical buildings. The tour lasts approximately an hour and you can hop on and off the bus at any of the stops along the route. The stops include Oxford Castle, Oxford Westgate, Christ Church, The Radcliffe camera and more. Keep a hold of your ticket for re-boarding.
When you travel with GWR, you can now purchase an integrated ticket for the tour at a reduced price of £13.50 for adults instead of the usual attraction price of £16.50. Children’s tickets (5-15 years) can be purchased for £6.75. Tours leave Oxford Railway station up to every 30 mins.
A 30 minute “Stepping Through Oxford” walking tour is included in the price of the Oxford Open Top Explorer (subject to availability). If you choose not to take the walk, the bus will continue on the normal route and a recorded commentary will be available in the Guide’s absence. The kids commentary is suitable for kids of ALL ages.
Purchase your integrated ticket from the ticket office at Oxford, on the train or from the GWR website. All you need is a valid train ticket to get this offer. Then board the bus at Oxford Railway station and hop on and off as you please.

The ticket to travel is valid for use on the Guide Friday City Sightseeing tour of Oxford only for the date shown on The Oxford Open Top Explorer ticket.
Pre-paid vouchers or tickets to travel obtained from an unauthorised source, stolen, copied illegally or counterfeit will be seized and cancelled without compensation.
The ticket to travel remains the property of the company and must be made available for inspection by the driver, guide or any official of either the company on demand.
Guide Friday City Sightseeing Oxford will make every effort to maintain a regular and frequent service, but does not guarantee to do so. Guide Friday City Sightseeing Oxford shall not be in any way liable to the ticket holder for loss, damage, inconvenience, or delay in consequence of any failure, alteration, suspension, cancellation or termination of service.
A child is aged between 5 and 15 years. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
