This next chapter of our Famous Five adventure is all about celebrating the experience of travelling by train, and how it can deliver a level of comfort, speed, sustainability and socialising that travelling by car cannot.

Speed terms and conditions

Potential time saving based on average GWR journey times between London Paddington and destination station, between May 2021 and December 2022 on journeys between Monday and Sunday, via GWR compared against the respective car journey calculated using typical traffic data.

Sustainability substantiations

Since 2017, GWR has reduced diesel emissions across its network by 40%.

GWR used 190,632 tonnes of CO2e across its network in 2022 compared with 316,812 tonnes of CO2e in 2017.
