With over 2.2 million visitors passing through its doors every year and taking trains to London Paddington, Oxford and Birmingham, to name just a few destinations, Worcester Foregate Street railway station is an essential part of the GWR network.

Originally part of the Hereford and Worcester Railway when it was built in 1860, the Worcester Foregate Street railway station is rather unusual as it has two single track lines that run parallel to one another, as opposed to the double track layout that might be expected.

The station sits right at the heart of Worcester, so there’s loads of things to do nearby if you find yourself visiting. This includes the famous Worcester Racecourse, which has events that run from May right through until October. There’s also the Perry Wood Local Nature Reserve, which is a great place to go wildlife spotting with the kids.
