The Bath Children's Literature Festival is taking place from 23 September to 2 October 2022.
Established in 2007 by Bath-based children’s publishing professionals, the Bath Children’s Literature Festival has developed into Europe’s largest children’s book festival. This year’s programme is jam-packed with a vibrant array of talks and activities for children.
The festival regularly attracts some of the biggest children’s authors and illustrators from the UK and internationally. Past contributors have included huge names such as Jacqueline Wilson, Cressida Cowell, Martin Rosen, Judith Kerr and Michael Morpurgo.
Over 10 days, children can meet their favourite authors and book characters and see plenty of shows – from The Famous Five to the Moomins. Events regularly feature humour and book readings, as well as craft activities, quizzes and games. If books are your bag, this isn’t one to be missed.
Travelling to the Bath Children’s Literature festival couldn’t be simpler. First, grab a train to Bath Spa train station. From there, it’s a short walk to the town centre. So book yourself on one of our trains to Bath and experience Bath Children’s Literature Festival for yourself and your children.
The entire city of Bath is a World Heritage Site. With its stunning buildings, popular attractions and a fantastic choice of places to eat and drink, it’s a great place for a day trip, weekend or even a longer stay. or more information on what to see and do, visit our Bath destination guide.
