Network Rail is carrying out infrastructure improvements as well as essential maintenance of the region's railway to help provide better and faster journeys.
Rail improvement work is planned during the autumn on the Heart of Wessex route serving Weymouth.
This is for track renewal and essential maintenance to be carried out by Network Rail to help maintain rail connections between Somerset and Dorset.
Signalling and track upgrades are also taking place that will affect trains in the Southampton and Portsmouth areas.

- Southampton Central to Portsmouth Harbour – Monday 12 to Friday 16 February
- Portsmouth & Southsea to Portsmouth Harbour – Monday 26 February to Friday 1 March
- Yeovil Pen Mill to Weymouth – Saturday 16 to Sunday 31 March
