Network Rail are carrying out infrastructure improvements as well as essential maintenance of the region's railway to help provide better and faster journeys.

Wessex

There is rail improvement work planned later this year in the Dorchester area on the Heart of Wessex route serving Weymouth.

This is for essential maintenance work to be carried out to help maintain rail connections between Somerset and Dorset.

The impact on services will be as follows:


  • Thursday 18 November to Friday 3 December

Don’t forget, space is limited on buses/coaches compared to trains, so please don’t bring:
  • large items of luggage
  • bikes (excluding folding bikes)
  • dogs (excluding assistance dogs)
Pushchairs must be folded up and stored as luggage.
