What to expect from Christmas in Cardiff
Cardiff has plenty of magical festive experiences to enjoy, including the Ice Rink and Christmas Markets, all against the backdrop of twinkling lights.
Cardiff Christmas Market, curated by Craft*Folk, is unlike those you may find in other cities. At each and every stall, you will be purchasing original work from talented makers: bespoke jewellery, beautiful textiles, wooden turned gifts, and original artwork across all mediums.
Inside the Castle you’ll find Cardiff Winter Wonderland Ice Rink and the open air Ice Walk, giving everyone a chance to get their skates on, plus you’ll find outdoor seating in an Alpine themed (yet heated) area along with food and drink stalls including a marshmallow firepit!
Outside the Castle you’ll find the Christmas in Bute Park Light Trail, festive funfair rides on Castle Street and of course the magical ambience of Cardiff’s Victorian and Edwardian arcades.
How to get to Christmas in Cardiff
Getting to Cardiff by train is easy. Simply hop on a train to either Cardiff Queen Street or Cardiff Central.
